Petrol and diesel prices up slightly in November – AA

The latest AA Ireland Fuel Survey reveals a slight increase in petrol and diesel prices for November after three months of fuel price decreases in a row.

AA Ireland said that petrol prices have risen by two cents to an average of €1.73 a litre, while diesel prices have increased by a cent to €1.67 per litre.

But despite these increases, crude oil prices reduced slightly, averaging around $72 per barrel.

Meanwhile, electric vehicle owners can expect to pay an average of €808.64 per year to cover an average of 17,000 km per year.

Jennifer Kilduff, Head of Marketing & PR for the AA (Ireland), said fuel prices at the pump are marginally higher this month, mainly down to varying prices at different retailers around the country.

But she added there was good news for EV drivers as reductions from Electric Ireland kicked in from November 1.

“Shopping around for the best energy provider rates, making use of home charging if you can and using night rates will further decrease running costs,” she added.
