Austin M. Slattery

Austin is a leading Chartered Accountant in practice in the West of Ireland with a portfolio of clients who are at the cutting-edge of business and development in the region.
Austin was President of Chartered Accountants Ireland from May 2012 to May 2013. This esteemed organisation was established in 1888 and is Ireland's largest and longest established accountancy body - with an excess of 22,000 members and 6,000 students.
Austin is a former President of Ennis Chamber of Commerce and former President of Ennis Rotary Club. He was Captain of Lahinch Golf Club in 2009. He is a founding member and director of Ennis Civic Trust.
He was educated at Rockwell College and is a graduate of University College Galway where he received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He founded Slattery & Partners in 1979.
Gerard Kelly
B.Comm. DPA. FCA. AITI
Widely recognised as a leading accounting and taxation advisor, Gerard has worked both in industry and in practice. After graduating with a B.Comm. from UCG, Gerard undertook the postgraduate Diploma in Professional Accounting in the Smurfit Business School in UCD.
Gerard subsequently trained with one of the then ‘Big 5 firms’ and was responsible for the audit of many of the largest companies in the Mid-West of Ireland.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Gerard pursued a qualification in tax and qualified as an associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.
Gerard sits on Chartered Accountants Ireland’s Members in Practice Committee and he has represented the Institute in consultations with the Law Society on Solicitor’s Regulations.
Gerry is passionate about rural development and the provision of services to local communities. He has been actively involved in the development of a variety of community facilities and services, and has assisted many groups in their attempts to maintain local services.
Donie Neylon
FCPA
For over 30 years Donie has advised and assisted a wide variety of businesses with their accounting, taxation and financial requirements. He has developed expertise in advising business start-ups - who appreciate his ability to demystify accounting and taxation processes.
Educated at St. Flannan's College Ennis, Donie obtained a Training Contract with a locally-based firm of accountants. He applied for student membership of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland.
In 1986 he joined Slattery & Partners, Chartered Accountants to continue his training. After passing his final exams in 1990 he was admitted as a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Institute in 2003. Donie is very much involved with the support of young people in the community – and works with Clare Youth Services in Ennis.
Pamela McGrath
FCCA
A Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Ireland, Pamela joined Slattery & Partners in 2021, as a Senior Accountant. Pamela has worked in both industry and practice and brings a wealth of experience to her role in the firm. Pamela has extensive experience in auditing and accounts preparation and has 9 years experience working in the Charity sector.Yvonne Carroll

A member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland since 1997, Yvonne has over 30 years of experience working in practice.
Yvonne joined Slattery & Partners in April 2021 as a Senior Accountanl)’after she trained and worked for a long number of years with a locally – based firm of Accountants.
She has extensive experience preparing Accounts for all types of business including Sole Traders and Companies. She also is very familiar with Payroll, VAT, Income Tax, Corporation Tax and Relevant Contract Tax.
Martin Hehir
FCCA
Martin has over 22 years’ experience in practice and has acquired extensive, across-the-board experience in accountancy, taxation and business advisory services.
Martin has a passion for and specialty in working with small- to medium-sized enterprises and the specific financial requirements they have as sole-trader businesses or corporates. He works very closely with his clients – partnering with them to help them make sure their businesses are efficient and effective.
Una Roseingrave
BSc (Hons) Accounting, ACA, CTA
Una is an AITI Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) and a Chartered Accountant (ACA) having graduated with a BSc in Accounting from the University College Cork in 2009. Una trained with Mazars Ireland and travelled to Australia in 2013 to pursue travel opportunities.
Prior to joining Slattery & Partners in March 2016, she worked as a Tax Accountant with Flight Centre Travel Group, one of the world’s largest travel agency groups for over two years in Brisbane, Australia. She has also worked with KPMG and as an examiner with the Irish Tax Institute.
Una specialises in the area of tax consultancy and compliance. She has experience across many types of industries and has worked with a wide portfolio of clients over the years. Her particular areas of expertise include Estate and Succession planning, Income Tax and Corporation Tax compliance and VAT on property.
Bernie O’Loughlin
Office Manager
A long-standing and key part of the Slattery & Partners team, Bernie joined the firm in November 1998, with a background in bookkeeping and office management.
Within the practice, Bernie is responsible for the management of Corporate Secretarial Services for clients – ensuring that they meet the legal and administrative requirements as laid down by the Companies Act 2014.
Her role includes company incorporations and business name registrations, annual compliance and maintenance of statutory records and issue or transfer of shares.Mairead Tierney

Mairead holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Finance and joined Slattery & Partners in August 2005 where she now holds the role of Senior Accountant. A member of the Institute of Certified Public Accounts of Ireland, Mairead has extensive experience working with a broad portfolio of clients. She manages all aspects of each client’s affairs including financial statement preparation, corporation tax, payroll, VAT, RCT, income tax obligations and company audits. Mairead is also an Associate Member of the Irish Payroll Association.
Kate O’Connor
BBS, ACCA
A member of the Associate of Certified Chartered Accountants Ireland, Kate joined Slattery & Partners in 2005 after receiving a BBS Honours degree from the University of Limerick. She is now a Senior Accountant in our firm. Kate has gained a vast amount of experience and knowledge over the years – working on a large portfolio of clients across various sectors and dealing with all areas of clients’ affairs – including financial statement preparation, PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax, RCT, Audits and Income Tax. Kate has built strong and long-lasting relationships with all her clients.
Rena Lordon
Reception and Secretarial Duties
Rena is a loyal and long-standing member of the Slattery & Partners team and in many ways, she is the backbone of the business. Rena’s background is in administration and she has extensive experience in the running of a reception and office. At Slattery’s, she is responsible for every aspect of administration, including the preparation of letters and documents, the documenting of books and records from clients and the coordination of meetings and appointments. She also handles switchboard and takes care of general office duties such as receiving and organizing mail, the greeting of clients and message management.
Diarmuid Lyons

Diarmuid joined the firm in July 2019 after receiving a BBS (Hons) degree from Limerick Institute of Technology in Accounting & Finance.
Diarmuid has extensive experience working with a broad portfolio of clients. He has a vast knowledge of providing Audit, Accounting and Taxation services to all clients. He has developed strong relationships with his clients.
Diarmuid has a strong understanding of business and experience in dealing with the strategic growth of his client’s businesses.
Nicole Whelan
Payroll Manager, BBS (Hons) Accounting, MIPA
Nicole joined the team at Slattery & Partners in 2015, having graduated from Tralee Institute of Technology with a BA (Hons) in Business (Accounting). She has successfully completed the IPASS Professional Payroll Manager Qualification gaining additional technical knowledge required in relation to Employment Law, Income Tax, PRSI and USC. Nicole also has extensive experience in accounts, tax preparation and audits for both companies and sole traders.
Jake Breslin

Jake joined the firm in July 2019 after receiving a BBS (Hons) degree from the University of Limerick.
